The BIG snow. The 2 feet type of snow. Yee-haw.
I have to admit, I am like a kid when it comes to snow. I love it. I love getting enough to have schools canceled and businesses closed down. Roads emptied of traffic and parked cars covered beneath mounds of the white stuff.
Unfortunately for me, I own no snowboots (they're on my Things to Buy After Christmas Sale list). And being that I just delivered a baby...one that wants to nurse often...I was the one relegated to remain inside. Watching.
Not to mention, Jet dug out the driveway, back deck, and walkway while the girls played. Um I think I'll pass, if hard labor is my ticket to be outdoors. :)
My girls LOVED it. to the point that they remained outside, even when they're hands were red and frozen, being that we couldn't find their snow gloves. Opps.

It was quite the day for all of us:
- discharged from the hospital.
- bringing home our last baby girl.
- and a snow large enough to get snowed in with my entire family for a few days.

I'm still in awe of God's timing of it all.
Had I gone into labor any later than I did, I would have been holed up in the hospital away from my family, being that they want the baby to remain in the hospital for 24 hours.

Or had I gone into labor during/after the blizzard...Wow....we would have been challenged with how to even get to the hospital and what to do with the girls.
Uh, Unplanned Home birth anyone?

We have so many reasons to celebrate as a family. Raquel AND two feet of snow! It just doesn't get any better than this for a bunch of little girls. (or their snow-lovin' parents!)
