Kari Jobe's Healer
There's something about worship that stirs me. but to see a child wholeheartedly worship...well, that's a whole other well of deep emotions.
She's 10yrs. old. and had just received a long-awaited heart transplant. From what I've read, she sang this song every night before going to bed during that long wait...
Her can read more of her story here.

Bottle bombs
But because I couldn't copy the snopes article, here's an article:
"At least two "works" bombs were left in the yards of York Township residents overnight, creating a dangerous situation since the pop bottle bombs quickly detonate, police said.
Washtenaw County Sheriff's Deputy Keith Mansell sent a warning to township residents this morning, urging them not to pick up any bottles that have liquid in them or appear swollen.
Mansell said he was dispatched to a home on Bemis Road near the Saline city limits this morning for an unexploded pop bottle bomb. When he arrived, he discovered a 20-ounce bottle in the yard, moved it from the front yard, and it detonated 30 seconds later, he said in the e-mail.
Mansell then checked other yards and located a second one a few doors down from the first one, he said. He moved that one, and it also detonated, the e-mail said.
The homeowner told Mansell she noticed the bottle and planned to move it when she got her morning paper. "There was a high probability that this would have detonated in her hand/face while she carried it to the trash," Mansell said in the e-mail.
A "works" bomb is described as Drano and foil mixed inside a bottle. The chemical reaction makes a volatile build-up of gases and subsequently detonates the bottle with a great amount of force, with the chemical substance in the bottle becoming boiling liquid at that point, the e-mail said.
The explosion can be severe enough to cause second- or third-degree burns or blindness, Mansell said in the e-mail.
Mansell urged residents to watch for bottles in their yards and offered the following advice:
- If you find a soda bottle or any other bottles, examine it carefully before you touch it or get near it. If it shows signs of swelling or melting in any way, do not touch it. Call 911.
- If you find a soda bottle that has any liquid in it, don't touch it and call 911.
Both bombs this morning appeared to be slightly swollen, with a dark colored liquid inside of it, the e-mail said. The liquid could have easily been mistaken for leftover soda, according to the e-mail.
If someone is caught making such a device, it is a felony of possession of a substance with explosive capabilities punishable by up to 15 years in prison if no damage is caused and 20 years if damage is caused. The penalties are more severe if injuries occur, including a mandatory life sentence if someone is killed, police said."
And I wanted to pass along the information. I think it's incredibly sad when you live in a time where you can't even clean out trash from your front lawn without fear that it may blow up in your face.

Wanna feel SMALL?
And just in case you've never heard of them (like me a week or so ago), here's a link to watch some on You*tube...

"Indescribable" Using the cosmos, we get a glimpse into God's universe to discover the amazing magnitude of His greatness and grace.
Okay, so that's the basic description that Amazon gave. But me...there's no words. I just felt so small after watching it. So inspired to believe Him to be ALL He says He is. and so completely overwhelmed that He even knows my name.
and bothers to use that itty bitty iota of knowledge to talk to me. *mind boggling*
Go here to watch it. There are five parts. Once you've watched the first part, just click on the second, third, and so forth (found in the middle screen and/or on the right hand side of the screen).

"How Great is our God" It starts out talking about the Bigness of God (again using the expanse of the Universe (only in a different twist than Indescribable)...and honestly, it blew me away. Even after watching Indescribable!
And then it goes into details about the intricate parts of your personal make up. Amazing. Think "Laminin". Means nothing to you? Watch the video. ;)
Go here to watch. Again, it has multiple parts that you can click to as each section ends.
I love reminding myself about the God that I serve. The Truth of Who He Is. The Reality of what He does. The unfathomable facets of His Handiwork.
Because sometimes I get so caught up in ME. how large and overwhelming my my my situations can feel. I'm so self-centered sometimes.
But watching these, exploring the GRAND scheme of God's work, made me feel so small. It made the things I'm believing Him for seem so trite. so easy. and so completely doable to a God who is ...well, Great and completely Indescribable.
I hope as you watch, you'll feel that same thing. And fall in love with a God who is so much bigger than we give him credit. and yet so into the very details of what makes you you.

My heartfelt thank you...

Multi-colored, flashing lights. Metallic-tinseled trees. Six-foot tall Snoopies dressed in Santa costumes. Baby Jesus flanked by the Three Stooges in lu of the traditional Three Wisemen. Blow-up snow globes larger than my bedroom.
Yep. Those are the houses to which I refer.
Can I just say...My girls L-O-V-E you! They scream and holler and clap. Loudly announcing which side of the road the Christmas festivities lie. And there you sit, in all your 130,000-watt glory. Twirling, spinning, and Ho-Ho-Hoing.
Yes, that's right. We drive around looking for you. Trying to find your yard so the girls can squeal and laugh and point. You know, getting in a little family entertainment. The free kind.
And I do appreciate this.
For you add a whole new dimension to our holiday season. This family viewing of your house from a far. Because God knows those blinking, multi-colored, frosted lights and Santa-fied cartoon characters will not be seen in our front yard. Ever.
But I, on behalf of my girls, thank you for being so willing to sacrifice the look of yours. Truly.
Though!! I have to say...I do love this house. Though I'm so glad it's not my neighbor. :)

Uganda's 20 Year Holocaust
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb8TTYWwcWI
A friend of mine, from YWAM, filmed and directed this short documentary. Make sure that there are no children in the room when viewing, as it is a very "in your face" type of film. Which, it needs to be, since that's the type of reality it is for the people experiencing it.
Here's what he said about it:
"For over 20 years, Northern Uganda has been plagued by a war that has take the lives of countless Northern Ugandans, with thousands of children being abducted and forced to become child soldiers. I made this while I was in Kampala, Uganda in the Summer of 2006" Michael Nease
I never knew...

Do schools today kill creativity? (Ken Robinson, TEDTalks)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=iG9CE55wbtY
Hope that helps
My husband and I came across this...and loved it! He speaks about education in a way that inspires us as we look for the best way to educate our girls as individuals. The whole of the video takes about 20 minutes. But I promise you, it's worth it!
"Sir Ken Robinson is author of Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative, and a leading expert on innovation and human resources. In this talk, he makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it. [Recorded February, 2006 in Monterey, CA. Duration: 20:02]"
"We are educating people out of their creativity," Robinson says. The universality of his message is evidenced by its rampant popularity online. A typical review: "If you have not yet seen Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk, please stop whatever you're doing and watch it now."
By the way, TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is an invitation-only event where the world's leading thinkers and doers gather to find inspiration.
Enjoy! I know we did!
