Uganda's 20 Year Holocaust

I have NO idea why my blog's videos keep disappearing. So until I figure it out, here is the link for the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb8TTYWwcWI

A friend of mine, from YWAM, filmed and directed this short documentary. Make sure that there are no children in the room when viewing, as it is a very "in your face" type of film. Which, it needs to be, since that's the type of reality it is for the people experiencing it.

Here's what he said about it:

"For over 20 years, Northern Uganda has been plagued by a war that has take the lives of countless Northern Ugandans, with thousands of children being abducted and forced to become child soldiers. I made this while I was in Kampala, Uganda in the Summer of 2006" Michael Nease

I never knew...

Thanks for sharing that video. I was just reading something about Uganda over the weekend. In the magazine that JMU sends out quarterly, there was an article about a female student who I was in Intervarsity with at JMU who has a non-profit org that helps the females who were forced to be soldiers in Uganda. Here is her website if you're interested in reading about it: http://www.zionproject.org/site/c.lrLVJ6PJKqG/b.2699135/k.BE31/Home.htm

I had no idea. What a well put together video. Thank you for sharing it. It just breaks your heart while at the same time reminding you how fortunate we are to live in the US.

A lot is being done in Uganda regarding the situation in the north, and more info on the situation there can be found at: www.invisiblechildren.com

This is an incredible documentary and movement that is meant to bring to light the horrendous attrocities that have taken place in Northern Uganda, and what is being done about it.
