Who knows? But either way...here is what I heard yesterday as I was in the kitchen getting food ready.
Charis (4): "When I turn...." I hear whispered counting. "...22, then I'll be married to someone."
Selah (3): "Well, when I turn..." Again I hear what I can only assume is whispered counting. "...FIVE, I'll go to the store by myself."
I love how their minds work. I love how different they are. I love how this little conversation shows Charis's innate desire and ability to relate to and love someone...and Selah's leaning towards wanting to be independent.
But I have to say I'm always soooo shocked how early little girls start thinking about marriage and independence!! Because this is NOT the first time that Charis has mentioned marriage...wondering WHO she'll marry...WHERE they'll live...what her relationship with us will be like. To me she seems so young. But I guess I remember those days of being 4 years old...
*big sigh*
My little girls are growing up. Way too fast.

Love the faces in the picture. I think it is such a joy to listen to the siblings talk. What a great insight into their desires. Loved that!
I understand the book, The Princess Kiss, is a great alternative to the views of love presented in Disney shows...haven't gotten it myself, but I too have one always wondering about marriage and talking about that. someone gave me the title.
(packing the cooler for our trip and about to view your video recommendation!)
So cute! And precious because it's so uncensored, so real. Love it!
Cute! I wonder if it has to do with being so close in age ... cause my (1-yr-younger) sister was always more independant-minded than me and I was always a little more boy crazy. I love hearing these sister tales!
