Hope that helps
My husband and I came across this...and loved it! He speaks about education in a way that inspires us as we look for the best way to educate our girls as individuals. The whole of the video takes about 20 minutes. But I promise you, it's worth it!
"Sir Ken Robinson is author of Out of Our Minds: Learning to be Creative, and a leading expert on innovation and human resources. In this talk, he makes an entertaining (and profoundly moving) case for creating an education system that nurtures creativity, rather than undermining it. [Recorded February, 2006 in Monterey, CA. Duration: 20:02]"
"We are educating people out of their creativity," Robinson says. The universality of his message is evidenced by its rampant popularity online. A typical review: "If you have not yet seen Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk, please stop whatever you're doing and watch it now."
By the way, TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is an invitation-only event where the world's leading thinkers and doers gather to find inspiration.
Enjoy! I know we did!

Ok, well I've managed to watch half of it so far. He has some wonderful things to say. I sat here taking notes! Can't wait to find time for the 2nd half!
First, let me say I LOVE British humor. :-) He's hilarious. ("Shakespeare, stop talking like that.") LOL
Secondly, Wow! Excellent video. Thank you for posting it. It's exactly what I needed to hear today.
That was really great. I love being able to laugh out loud at something and learn so much at the same time.
Ok girl! I love the passion that has come through on the last few posts. I can't wait to watch the video. I may do a little here while I eat a PM snack. I may have to finish it on the vacation coming up cause I should really be packing and not watching videos!
Wow! Loved that...sent your link to a bunch of people via email. They aren't bloggers adn won't comment, but if this page starts getting a lot of hits, well, you'll know :)
Mary, I'm shocked. You mean the spike in my "page hits" isn't because of ME?! And here I was thinking that word got out about the "incredibly witty, yet shockingly deep blog writer". Hmm. Massive blow to my oh-so-fragile ego. Thanks for the reality check. *grin*
