Do schools today kill creativity? (Ken Robinson, TEDTalks)

...Oh, and about the comment you left on my blog (about the boys...) My sister has 3 girls ages 7, 5 and 18 months and in about 6 weeks will give birth to...Eli David! Yeah! So...#4? :)

Sounds good! Yes, creativity is smashed in schools now but 'society' SEEMS to make a big deal about 'individuality' and personal creativity... how wierd can I look... how different... then they just all look alike... and worse... something out of my 80's middle school! Poor kids think they thought it up all on their own ( they don't believe me when I say, 'I used to wear those!") and don't realize that the 'Gap' is playing a mean trick on them... come on.. the 80's???? I actually saw a poofy zip off sleeves jacket on a teen last fall!
Anyway, at home, we are really creative.. it is so nice to have kids not influenced by their peers! My kids would have been laughed out of their classes for playing civil war and dressing up dolls still at 11 years old!
