The Weekend

This weekend was Jet's and my 6th wedding anniversary! Ya-hoo. Which Jet "surprised" me with a 6 piece gorgeous patio furniture set from Costco!! Ahhh!!
You cannot beat Costco, people! Not that I'd normally run around telling people how much we spent on something (and that would be because we rarely buy "something"), but
....*drum roll*...
it was on sale for under $400! That's 60% off Costco's price...which was like a million percent off of regular store's prices. The couch, for instance, is sold by itself at outdoor furniture stores for $1400.

Crazy! *Doing a little chair dance* because I LOVE finding bargains.

But anyway, it was our anniversary. Yay Us. So here are some random pictures of what the girls got to do this weekend.
The girls love sitting on their "watching perch"! They were watching for the arrival of Grandma and Granddaddy. Aunt Ginny was having them all over at her house for dinner. And Jet and I were having some time to ourselves. Thankfully, Raegan cooperated by napping, so we could at least have dinner 'alone'.
I love that little profile.
So intent on not blinking her eyes so she wouldn't miss the "arrival time". She LOVED that Jet and I weren't going so that she and Charis would be getting "grandma-and-granddaddy-time".

If we were to word it that "Mommy and Daddy were getting alone time", everything would change. Suddenly she'd see it as missing out on something instead of being exclusively involved with something. ;) ahh, it's all in the perspective, is it not?
So yeah. Our garden grows vegetables...for giants. Mom and I weren't sure whether these zucchinis would even be edible; they were so huge. But her neighbor assured her that they were. She told us how her mom used to let them get that big on purpose because there were 8 mouths to feed. :)

The girls still refuse to try them...but they're pretty pleased that they grew them.
This thing is massive!!!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!

So where are the pics of the patio furniture?

How about pics of the celebrating, in-love couple??? Oh, I know...Raegan's not old enough to hold the camera and take a picture of you yet...that must be it. :)

Happy Anniversary! That is a sweet deal (we were looking for outdoor furniture recently) - I love bargains myself. I'm partial to BJ's, but that patio furniture might have won me over.
