And the Angels Rejoiced...

Tonight was Charis's yearly "Soaking prayer team" appointment. Every year, I sign her up to receive a 1/2 hour of prayer where a team of people gifted in the prophetic pray over her. I'm hoping that years from now, she'll love pulling out the tapes (the prayer is recorded) and listening to all the things God laid on people's heart to pray into, over, and about her. I know I will!

But anyway...

On the way home, out of the blue, she announced "I want to ask Jesus into my heart." :) She's been talking about it the past few months. Toying with the idea outloud. She's mentioned it recently, but has never really wanted to follow through. So when she mentioned it again tonight, I was all over it!

"Oh yeah? Well, I can pull the car over and we can pray together!"

I could write out the story, but for now all I'll say is that she prayed the sweetest prayer...and I know the angels are rejoicing along with Jesus. It's truly been such the precious night, as I feel SO honored to have been a part of it.

I have tears in my eyes. The angels are most definitely rejoicing. What a sweat spirit that child has. I can't wait to see what the Lord as in store for her.
That is such a great idea to have an annual soaking prayer for her. I'm jealous that we don't have that at my church. Maybe its time to take another trip to your neck of the woods. :)

And the angels rejoiced is right! I am SO excited for you because I know so well how that feels as a mom but more as a fellow beliver. AND THE ANGELS REJOICED!!!! AND THEY DANCED! And when I told my Kyla about how the angels were dancing she cried.

I am so excited to see what God has planned for our girls. What a blessing to know and be the one used to bring them to him.

Blessings, Blessings, Blessings on your family!!!

Rejoicing with you...how glorious indeed!

hmm, how old is she...my youngest (4) asked last Oct.(then 3) to pray...a Thursday morning on the way to preschool...We pulled over at school and prayed...he then led his older brother and sister into the fold a week later (ages 4 and 5 then). Should we arrange a marriage ;-)?? His name is Gabriel.

He was constantly trying to get all the kids in his preschool class to worship with him (and his air guitar)...mind you-this was a government run preschool that Foster Care had mandated him to. He'd actually ask if he could worship every time I put him in his car seat. He played his guitar on the buckle and literally wore the skin off his fingers worshipping God.

*this little one came to us in May last year...he had been abused and nearly starved to death...God rescued him!

Halleluyah for kids coming into Christ arms...may they truly serve Him all their days!

hugs and rejoicing!

Wonderful. I am so thankful you were able to be a part of that special moment. May she continue to serve Him all her days and be open to His work in her life!

What sweet moments, the kind you ponder in your heart long after the child is grown. May many, many more moments like this come your way. What a delight to see our children beginning and continuing in their walk with God!
