Say What?!!

My blog gets googled on a daily basis. If someone googles me, I can see it. I've gotten used to it, figuring it comes with the territory of Blogdom. But today...I had to wonder.

Should I be scared that my blog was number TWO in the following google search?

"Is sucking your thumb as addictive as heroine?"

Yep, there I was. Ranked #2. Tucked right between the Webpages entitled: "Constantly High" and "Warning Signs of Abuse".

Does Google know something I don't?! ;)

What a trip!!! (Excuse the pun) That is crazy. Do you have a side income I don't know about? LOL

My biggest question is..."IS IT AS ADDICTIVE AS HEROIN?". Maybe that would explain some of my bizarre behavior patterns ever since childhood when my Mom made me quit. ;)

Hmm. Good question. IS IT?! Apparently Google is led to believe that reading my blog will somehow enlighten you on the answer. Maybe we should reread my entries?

Jet, you are too funny.

Did you write in some kind of secret code? Maybe if we read every other line we will get the real story. :)

I wrote "holy chaos" a personal response back about her question. But for e'one else who doesn't know how to do it...

I have sitemeter. It lets me know how many people come to my site a day. It ALSO lets me know how they find my site. If you have it, go to "referrals". You can see the link that people used to get to you (IF they used one).

So I can tell if someone comes to my site from Jen's blog. Or if someone used google. Or whatever. I could tell one time that someone came to my site from a porn site (the url said it all)...so I knew to watch that person and make sure they didn't come back.

make sense?

You know, you never know who will stumble onto your blog and how it will witness to them.

Christin...wow, yes I could see why that would make you a little nervous. I am not sure how you saw how they "came"...but I think it would make me a bit concerned. That and I wonder if everyone wants their state and town published. I noticed when I visited a blog in India, that the girl had a sitemeter that told who was visiting the blog at the moment (state and town)...I was thankful that it listed the wrong town for me...but still a little unnerving. (some of my children came from abuse- not sure I'd want 'them' to know where we are)

****And we don't live in fear, but walk in wisdom and with godly discernment.

:) You guys are great! ...FYI, I really wasn't "scared" just amused, to be honest. The fact that my blog is linked to that google search is so crazy to me.

Gotta love sitemeter. :)

Seriously, it IS helpful. I like to know HOW people are accessing my site..... If they're looking for something they shouldn't..... you know what I mean.
