WrestleMania

In a few short weeks, my little Raegan Roo will be turning one year old.

Already she has brought so much life to our home; I can't even begin to imagine life without her spunk. How can such a petite little thing hold so much personality?!!

She is SUCH the ham, already knowing how to work the lens. From about 6 months on, she would pause and pose whenever she saw me bring out the camera. (Of course, if I didn't get the perfect shot right away, the moment was gone. Because she was off and crawling like mad to grab the camera.)

But don't be fooled by her innocent demeanor. For she is proving herself to be quite the little brute. And for better or worse, her sisters are now the target of her physical ....uh, prowess. One of her favorite games is to throw herself head-long on to her sisters, wrestling them to the ground.

She'll sit on her knees, raise both hands above her head, growl this deep guttural sound, and then lunge. Usually the target-sister moves just in time. As Raegan hits the floor with her face. Hard.

But she's completely unphased (usually)...getting up and going after them once again. This time with more determination. And a lot more Growl.

The girls love it! Especially the part where they don't have to treat Raegan like she's made of glass anymore.
Every night they wrestle. Rolling around and around the floor. Growling and chasing and laughing and hiding. I absolutely love hearing Raegan yell "Day-yah?! Ere Aw ew?" (Selah, where are you?) over and over again as Selah hides behind the coffee table.

These moments are, by far, my favorite times of the day. You know... the part where Daddy is home too...where the kids are "almost" going to bed...and where they are exhausting themselves by expending all of their remaining energy. Yes, those times. :)

It just so happens they are completely adorable in the process.

I know you can't hear her. But can't you just imagine the sound coming from her mouth? Selah taught her how to growl. And I'd say she has it down pat now.

I know that one day...not too far away...these days will only be a memory. And their growls will be replaced by something more "grown up".

But for now, I'm so loving this stage. The one where they finally are all able to interact together. Throwing each other to the ground. And loving it.

Have I mentioned that I'm SO thankful my girls are coming out of their "timid" phase?!?! ;) Thanks, in part, to our little Raegan Roo.

Did you say "outgrow" that growl? hmmmm...still waiting for my boys to "outgrow" it! I am sure it happens quicker with girls. :)

As for our girl. We have no idea how long we are going to have her. It looks like AT LEAST until the end of April and from what I found out today, I would be suprised if it is even then. Although, they keep telling me anything could happen. I am falling in love though. It will be tough if/when she does have to go back. We are still planning to adopt, so if she does have to leave, we will still need the van. (Plus my oldest is now the same hight as me and he is all legs...he will appreciate the extra space.)

Oh, just had to add...my sister's third girl (Ella) is her little challenge! Cute, cute, cute but ohhhh soooo spunky (and naughty!) :)

I love it! She looks like a go-getter. Isn't amazing that no matter how different all your kids are they all fit together so perfectly? It never ceases to amaze me how well our kids bring out the best and yes sometimes the worst in eachother(though not often)

Seriously she is almost 1 already?! WHERE has the time gone? I love that picture of her with her mouth open, mid growl. Precious. I assume you have at least a few seconds of video to record her sweet growl AND the adorable "Selah where are you?"
I love that your girls play together so well. My 3 don't play often as a threesome. It's usually Joseph plus 1. Nehemiah still isn't sure that baby sisters are a fun thing. One of these days he'll get it.

lol so cute! I wonder if its a number 3 thing, our third, Clay is also the more spunky of the bunch and he has made us and everyone else that he comes across laugh till it hurts!! I always (and yes always meaning every single sunday at church) have at least one person come up to me saying "You know, don't take this the wrong way because I do like/love all your children, but gosh that Clay he is something else"!! How fun that you have a "little monster" too! ;0)

Too cute! I LOVE the pictures! Audrey likes to do more of a grunt when she doesn't get her way. Not in playing, she just does it to have an attitude...

How sweet! I love her little cute face! Those eyes are beautiful. I too can't believe how much personality can come from such a small person!
