There are weeks that fly by. One day you're making dinner for Monday night. Then you turn around, it's Thursday afternoon, and you're suddenly staring The Weekend in the face. Man, I love those times.
And then there are weeks like the ones I've been having recently. (Note: When I say "recently", it must read as "for the past month and a half"). This week has been no exception. For I'm sure that it's somehow packed more than its allotted share of 7 days and nights into it. Ever have those?
Maybe it's because I've been laying around trying desperately not to throw up as I clean up other's vomit and diarrhea? Hm. There's a novel thought.
But as much as the above has tested my will to go on (yes, I'm being a bit dramatic here), I'm thinking the length of this week is more due to the fact that my husband doesn't come home until way past "late" two nights of the week (night classes).
Now, before I go on, I must say that if you are one of those freaky type readers who tends to lean toward the crime of "stalking" and therefore should be sitting behind bars instead of a computer...just allow me to say:
I have a large doberman and I'm not afraid to use him. Before meeting my husband, I was pursuing a career in the FBI (the kind where they put arsenal to use...not the desk). And I'm neither a Pacifist, nor a Democrat. Need I spell it out more clearly? ....Think NRA.
Okay then. Moving on.
Soooo as I sit here now...all I can think about is the fact that I have an entire weekend stretching out before me. One to be spent solely with my husband and girls. Well, after the Women's Spa Night that my church is putting on tonight. ;)
I foresee much cuddling on the couch. Mixed in with a few Wrestling matches and games of catch among the Littles. A dozen competitive games of Memory. And a whole lot of just "being together."
Who knows, maybe even The Hub and I will go to my parents and practice shooting. *wry grin*
Honestly, it doesn't matter to me what we do. I'm just so relieved and excited that it's The Weekend. And that in a matter of hours, I'll have my Love home all to myself. Well...and the three other women of the house. (But thankfully, they're in bed by 7pm.) *grin*
And all we have to do for the next few days is focus on each other. Hmm. Sounds so great. You got Plans?

Were you really pursuing a career in the FBI? ~K
Spa night??? Sounds wonderful. I hope you enjoy it thouroughly as well as your weekend of cuddling on the couch. :)
conservachick- yep. Shocking huh? Considering I've become a homeschooling mommy. ;)
I had already contacted the nearest FBI headquarters to talk with them. Doing an impromtu interview of sorts. Then did another "interview" with a counselor at the agency I worked for....her sister was a FBI agent, so she gave me pointers in pursuing a position as a woman.
Then I met Jet and was married 10 months later. Life changes so fast, doesn't it?
Have a wonderful relaxing weekend!
We have company coming in tomorrow afternoon for the weekend. Not relaxing but very fun! Coffee and conversation - while all the kiddos entertain themselves {there'll be 8 of 'em}.
And, Sunday's are never a day off at the preacher's house. :)
FIRST, I have to say I LOVE 7pm bedtime. Now, the older two are up until I feel like telling them to go to bed. Pretty late most nights, just 'cause I like having them up with us. They're fun.
NOW...right this minute I am waiting for my hubby to get home and it is snowing like CRAZY. He looks at driving in snow as a challenge. I hate it.
This weekend? Trying not to wish it away as I dream of what my new van looks like! (we got one today) I haven't seen it (only a picture)...once you have one, it is hard to go back to NOT having one. We did it. Never again.
So. Now that I'm done rambling...have a great weekend. Are you usually sick the whole nine, or just the beginning?
you go shooting at your parents? can you and I go sometime? please? :) it's been such a long time....

I am a new soccer mommy! Jaedon just started soccer lessons last weekend for 3-4 year olds. So our Saturday mornings are going to be filled with that for a couple of months... Other than that, I too will be cuddling! I will be praying for you while I'm enjoying mine that you won't be *too* sick and you can really enjoy yours as well!
Sounds like a great plan, be blessed it in.
We are going to get fingerprinted at the local police station...a requirement for the new paperwork (dossier) for our Ethiopian adoption. Sigh, it is the third time for this same adoption...honestly, I am weary of it.
Enjoy your cuddle...
