For the love of his girls

Don't these people know that I am a DOBERMAN?!

A dog of noble blood?! A dog that strikes fear into the hearts of all who look upon me?!!

Hollywood knows this. My neighborhood knows this.

Why, in the name of all things sacred, don't these people?!

And now look at me.

Shamed. Scorned. Mocked.

Surrounded by little girls, armed with dress-up clothes. And no sense of canine respect.

Oh, the high heights from which I fall. All in the name of love.

I love it! Poor dog.

Did I tell you that ONE thing Roger is NOT allergic to is dogs? :) I cheered at the allergists office. He looked at me funny, but I continued on with my little song and dance "we're gettin' a dog!" :) We have to move first though. Makes me pray for a new house even harder.

Oh the things our wonderful dogs have to go through! It takes a special one to be able to put up with so much! Glad you have one too! :0)

So funny! How long have you had him? Since he was a puppy? He must be very well-trained and used to your girls. :)

Yep. We've had him since he was 7weeks old...he was our first "baby". That was 6 years ago.

We trained him pretty hardcore in the beginning...taking away his bone, getting down and "eating" his food with him, etc. So that he knew from early on that NOTHING was his. so now, when our girls grab a bone from his mouth and run OR play in his food bowl with him, he just sits there. He knows he's bottom of the totem pole. ;)

I'd tell ANYBODY who wants a family dog to get a doberman. I grew up with one. LOVE having this one and plan on getting another one next year. They are GREAT with kids and amazing with predators (he's scared off theives twice now)

He is SO cute! What a good dog!

...and to catch up from a few posts ago...my hubby feels the same way about the Christmas tree. He would probably love it if I wanted to get an artificial one. If I ever do, I will make sure it DOESN'T come with lights!
